On 3 September 2026 in Rome, WEC Italy, in collaboration with the Center for American Studies, hosted a closed-door energy dialogue with Jarrod Agen, Executive Director of the National Energy Dominance Council, focused on U.S. energy perspectives and the evolving transatlantic energy relationship.
The exchange offered an opportunity to discuss how U.S. energy priorities are shaping the global energy landscape and what this means for Europe and Italy, with a focus on energy security and affordability, industrial competitiveness, infrastructure and investment, technological innovation and resilient supply chains. The dialogue also explored the potential for stronger Italy–U.S. and transatlantic energy cooperation, looking ahead to the G20 Energy meeting in Houston.
The dialogue featured opening remarks by Marco Margheri, President of WEC Italy, Giusy De Sio, Deputy Director of the Center for American Studies, and Riccardo Pozzi, Vice President of WEC Italy, followed by a fireside chat with Jarrod Agen and moderator Mario De Pizzo. The exchange then opened to a broader discussion with representatives of the WEC Italy and Center for American Studies networks, bringing together perspectives from across the Italian energy community, with concluding remarks by Rossella Carrara, Vice President of WEC Italy.
WEC Italy promotes dialogue on international energy cooperation across the Atlantic through a series of meetings and exchanges involving institutions, international partners and members of its network.
